These Art lessons, created by an Art Specialist, are aimed at Key Stage 2 and can be used in any year group between years 3-6. They are aligned with the National Curriculum and have in-built adaptation. They are accompanied by a Powerpoint which contains all the resources and images required to teach this unit of work. Included are 7 lessons - enough for a full half term’s topic. This series of art lesson plans explores the vibrant, diverse ecosystem of the rainforest. Children will engage in creative activities that highlight the colorful flora, fauna, and the importance of preserving these vital environments. Through different artistic mediums available in classrooms, students will learn about rainforest animals, plants, and the unique layers of the rainforest, while developing their artistic skills and expanding their understanding of environmental conservation. By the end of the lesson series, pupils will: Understand the different layers of the rainforest and the animals and plants that inhabit them. Create art pieces that represent rainforest ecosystems. Explore various art techniques such as painting, drawing, collgae etc… Gain general awareness of the importance of preserving the rainforest for biodiversity and global climate health.
